It’s Saturday morning and instead of working from my office, I decided to change the venue and work from a coffee shop. I picked a really nice quiet coffee place which I know for a fact plays really soft music and is never crowded, unlike Starbucks. So, here I’m, enjoying my strawberry iced tea with a charcoal chicken croissant while working through my long list of emails.

So far so good, it’s just the right setting to get someone into the mood for working or reading in peace. But then a couple walks in, lovely couple, so much in love, it’s adorable. They sit right next to me, so I moved one table away to obviously give privacy (they seemed like one of those would be loud and keep giggling on silly comments). Nothing wrong with this picture so far, I’m still sipping my iced tea and have managed to reply to half of the unread emails that were demanding my attention. Then something happened, obviously, right, otherwise why would I be writing this article while sitting besides them.

The lovely, very much in love, horny couple, started to indulge in showing how sexually deprived they are. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not one of those who judge people for exhibiting PDA,  holding hands, hugging, keeping your arms on the shoulders or on waist, that’s all acceptable but when you go on to stroking the legs, literally as if you were giving a BJ, that’s where I draw my judgement. The phrase “get a room” is for such people. I would still be ok if I was in a pub and people act like this there, at least I would blame the alcohol for their behaviour but if you cannot manage to keep your hands away from your girl’s inner thighs in a coffee shop, please find a suitable place.

A PDA should not transform in VVPDA (very very public display of affection), I’m not jealous or deprived of emotions, I just feel that it’s annoying because you feel as if you walked into a live filming of a censored porn movie. There is elegance in kissing someone you love in public but all I ask is refrain from giving orgasm till you can be alone.
